It was obviously intended somehow to be part of Rebecca's movie, Casual Fridays 2, that was screened for the Bombshell cast and crew in "The Movie Star" ep. I remember Rebecca was wearing this outfit in it, but Kat (and most importantly, Jack!) didn't make it into the final cut.
Maybe this scene will be included in a DVD outtakes extra. Anybody heard when the season 1 DVD is releasing?

Not only was “Bombshell” not a bomb, it was a blast! “A hit, Dahhling,” as Derek might say. I wish the rest of the season had been this good (although I could have done without the ep being so predictable). But, hey, overall the season is ending with a nice bang.

Looks like we're going to have time to make and have a baby before the second season of Smash premieres. NBC is holding it off until midseason AGAIN -- so that's about 9 months from now.
Here's the scoop:
"Smash is being held for midseason, along with new dramas Infamous and Hannibal and new comedies Save Me, 1600 Penn and Next Caller. Asked by EW.com about Smash‘s creative direction for the second season now that Gossip Girl writer Josh Safran is taking the reins, Greenblatt said, “[Safran] has a real passion for this world and he’s a really smart and sophisticated writer. He’s going to raise the bar for us. I do think we’re going to do a better job of arcing really interesting and complex serialized stories.”
I really want to complain about this, but I guess I ought to just be thankful that there even is going to be a second season....
